About Kerrie...
Kerrie is a registered clinical counsellor and EMDR therapist with over 14 years of experience specializing in trauma, including the emotional impact of violent crime.
As the former CEO of Victims of Crime Assistance League (VOCAL NSW), she has worked closely with both the Criminal and Civil legal systems, gaining firsthand insight into how inadequate system responses can contribute to re-traumatization.
Kerrie takes a client-centered approach, integrating various therapeutic methods tailored to each individual’s needs to create a supportive environment for healing.
She has extensive experience working with Workers Compensation and CTP (road trauma) matters. Additionally, as an accredited Clinical Supervisor, she provides professional supervision to industry colleagues.
Kerrie is also an elected member of the NSW Sentencing Council, who advises the NSW Attorney General on criminal sentencing matters, monitoring sentencing trends, and educating the public on the sentencing process within the criminal justice system.
Beyond her professional work, Kerrie is a proud Defence Force Veteran and sits on the Board of Directors with the City of Newcastle RSL Sub-Branch. She appreciates a good cup of coffee by the beach.
